Easier to find - new studio categories

Organizing a shop is never easy; should we put all earrings in one section, or to make categories based on the materials that were used ? Or maybe by meaning ? Or by price ? I am trying now to create new sections that will better define the jewelry, hoping that this will make it easier for you to find what you're looking for. Here are the new categories :
- 10 $ Earrings - based on your budget
- 15 $ Bracelets - based on your budget
- 23 $ necklaces - based on your budget
- CHAKRA collection - by meaning
- Pearls, Shell and Mop Collection - based on materials used
- Evil Eye Collection - based by meaning
- Gemstones Jewelry
- Millefiori Collection - based on Murano glass Millefiori materials used
- Beaded Watches
- Vintage jewelry & accessories
I hope you'll find this useful on browsing my studio. Please don't hesitate to contact me for any questions you might have. And don't forget : you buy an original design by CRG Designs !

I started today with the earrings, which are now only 10 $ each, regardeless of size, material used or design. You pick ! These are great savings, as some of the earrings were innitialy 12, 14 or even 19 $. Enjoy it and stay close, because the following days other categories in my studio will be modified accordingly !

Leta Marie Designs's Studio on ArtFire !

I just opened my studio on ArtFire so I cannot say yet how are the sales, but the visits and views are higher ! Plus, they have a better and friendlier interface, with great features that Etsy doesn't have. Beside that, I rather pay a monthly subscription than a fee for each listing, relisting or sale. Art Fire let you add widgets, have a blog and different designs to choose from. They only have to add one more : rearranging your items, and it's absolutely perfect ! I'll see how my sales are going, and I'm thinking of closing my Etsy account. I was also able to merge my two Etsy accounts, the jewelry one and the vintage one.  And this was thanks to my friend Leta, without her I wouldn't have been found this site.

Her studio is one of my favorites, and I just love her earrings. So cute and delicate ! The prices are right and she's a lovely lady ! You can meet her on Facebook, as well as on ArtFire. Don't miss the opportunity to meet a wonderful artisan and a working mom ! Yesterday was her birthday.... so HAPPY BIRTHDAY LETA !!!!! All my best wishes for you and your family and many-many sales !

Somewhere .... Sometime ...

After almost six days of inactivity due to some nasty worms that infect my computer, I am able now to get back to my normal routine .... Of course, in the meantime I have done some more work, and now I can list some of my favorites. I found these gorgeous enamel cameos on the internet, at one of the Etsy suppliers, and instantly I falled for them. Exactly what I was looking for, just my style, perfect for my next project. For now I only made two of them, and I listed these beautiful necklaces this morning in my shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/MoniqueJewelryDesign
The sheer necklace is 16 inch long, but I can make them as long as you want, just drop me a message !
Stay close as I have more beauties to show.
Have a wonderful day wherever you are !

Faerie Moon Creations, A Whimsical Boutique

Sing a Happy Tune Collection - Wooden Tile Bird Pendant with Gold Ball Chain

I know, it's never easy to find something unique or something that would make you feel special. The weird thing is that I cannot wear my own creations. Funny, right ? I always look for things created by others, and the web is sometimes overwhelmed by shops, sites and ads with artisan handmade creations. I found to be kind of hard to decide what to buy, as the offers are so many in such a wide variety ! But usualy, I buy from my own colleagues, on Etsy, and here is one of the shops that I trully like !
Faerie Moon Creations !
To quote them, their "creations are inspired by the earth, nature, fantasy, faeries, folklore, animals, the shining sun, the whispering winds, and the deep blue sea". You have to see this with your own eyes ! Beautiful jewelry store, with several sections to choose from : Alice in Wonderland, Romantic Boutique, Unique Boutique, Knit Pretties Boutique, Christmas Boutique and even a Sales Boutique !
Definitively a store to explore !

If you like this shade of dusty rose as much as I do, then this should be your earrings. Delicate and fresh, reminds me of springtime, flowers and feminine flagrances, and gives you endless possibilities of colors combinations ! Would work great with any shades of grey, black ( for a beautiful contrast ) , dark pink, lavender, lilac or mauve.  Can be worn every day or at any special occasion day .
Light pink ( or baby pink ) is always better associated with silver, not with gold. Same for blue and green. Just like brown works better with gold, not with silver.
Handcrafted with beautiful translucent faceted pink glass that copy the pink quartz, and silver plated findings, these earrings are a great addition to your new spring collection, or can be the perfect gift for someone dear.
They will be available for sale on my store starting tomorrow, at http://www.etsy.com/shop/moniquejewelrydesign

EVIL EYE - meanings and history

Evil eye is a look that is superstitiously believed by many cultures to be able to cause injury or bad luck on the person at whom it is directed for reasons of envy or dislike. The term also refers to the power attributed to certain persons, of inflicting injury or bad luck by such an envious or ill wishing look.

Disks or balls, consisting of concentric blue and white circles (usually, from inside to outside, dark blue, light blue, white, dark blue) representing an evil eye are common apotropaic talismans in the Middle East, found on the prows of Mediterranean boats and elsewhere; in some forms of the folklore, the staring eyes are supposed to bend the malicious gaze back to the sorcerer.
Belief in the evil eye is strongest in the Middle East, East and West Africa, Central America, South Asia, Central Asia, and Europe, especially the Mediterranean region; it has also spread to other areas, including northern Europe, particularly in the Celtic regions, and the Americas, where it was brought by European colonists and Middle Eastern immigrants. In Mexico and Central America, infants are considered at special risk for evil eye (see mal de ojo, above) and are often given an amulet bracelet as protection, typically with an eye-like spot painted on the amulet. In some parts of South America the act of Ojear which could be translated as to give someone the evil eye is an unvoluntary act. This persons may ojear babies, animals and inanimate objects just by staring and wanting them. This may produce illness, discomfort or eventually death on babies or animals and failures on inanimate objects like cars or houses. It's a common belief that since this is an involuntary act made by people with heavy look, the proper way of protection is by attaching a red ribbon to the animal, baby or object, in order to attract the gaze to the ribbon rather than to the object intended to protect.

Murphy's computers laws

Any given program, when running, is obsolete.
Any given program costs more and takes longer each time it is run.
If a program is useful, it will have to be changed.
If a program is useless, it will have to be documented.
Any given program will expand to fill all the available memory.
The value of a program is inversely proportional to the weight of its output.
Program complexity grows until it exceeds the capability of the programmer who must maintain it.
Every non trivial program has at least one bug
Corollary 1 - A sufficient condition for program triviality is that it have no bugs.
Corollary 2 - At least one bug will be observed after the author leaves the organization.
Bugs will appear in one part of a working program when another 'unrelated' part is modified.
The subtlest bugs cause the greatest damage and problems.
Corollary - A subtle bug will modify storage thereby masquerading as some other problem.
Lulled into Security Law
A 'debugged' program that crashes will wipe out source files on storage devices when there is the least available backup.
A hardware failure will cause system software to crash, and the customer engineer will blame the programmer.
A system software crash will cause hardware to act strangely and the programmers will blame the customer engineer.
Undetectable errors are infinite in variety, in contrast to detectable errors, which by definition are limited.
Adding manpower to a late software project makes it later.
Make it possible for programmers to write programs in English, and you will find that programmers can not write in English.
The documented interfaces between standard software modules will have undocumented quirks.
The probability of a hardware failure disappearing is inversely proportional to the distance between the computer and the customer engineer.
A working program is one that has only unobserved bugs.
No matter how many resources you have, it is never enough.
Any cool program always requires more memory than you have.
When you finally buy enough memory, you will not have enough disk space.
Disks are always full. It is futile to try to get more disk space. Data expands to fill any void.
If a program actually fits in memory and has enough disk space, it is guaranteed to crash.
If such a program has not crashed yet, it is waiting for a critical moment before it crashes.
No matter how good of a deal you get on computer components, the price will always drop immediately after the purchase.
All components become obsolete.
The speed with which components become obsolete is directly proportional to the price of the component.
Software bugs are impossible to detect by anybody except the end user.
The maintenance engineer will never have seen a model quite like yours before.
It is axiomatic that any spares required will have just been discontinued and will be no longer in stock.
Any VDU, from the cheapest to the most expensive, will protect a twenty cent fuse by blowing first.
Any manufacturer making his warranties dependent upon the device being earthed will only supply power cabling with two wires.
If a circuit requires n components, then there will be only n - 1 components in locally-held stocks.
A failure in a device will never appear until it has passed final inspection.
Adding manpower to a late software project makes it later.
A program generator creates programs that are more buggy than the program generator.
